Days of '47 seeking nominees for awards

The Days of '47 Pioneers of Progress Awards is seeking nominations for Utahns of any age who embody the pioneering spirit.

Five Utahns whose lives commemorate principles such as faith, courage, industry, integrity and sacrifice are chosen annually for the awards.

An individual or group may nominate more than one person or individuals may nominate themselves under the following categories: Scientific and Technology Development; Business, Education, Health and Welfare; Historic and Creative Arts; Sportsmanship and Athletics; and Posthumous Legacy. Nominees are judged based on service, innovation, industry and achievements. Nomination forms are available at the Days of '47 Web site,

Nominators may attach up to four pages of supplemental information to the nomination form, and judges may request additional information.< All nomination supplemental materials will not be returned,
