Obituary: June W. Dexter

"Now She's Flying"

June Wright Dexter, age 82, passed away March 4, 2003 in Murray, Utah.

Born June 20, 1920 in Altonah, Utah, to Charles Edward and Bertha Vilate Wayman Wright. The family moved to Holladay, Utah when she was six months of age where she grew to womanhood. Graduated from Granite High School in 1938. Married Jack F. Dexter December 20. 1943 in the Salt Lake Temple. She was the mother of seven children. June served for many years as a teacher and leader in Primary, Sunday School and in MIA. Served a mission with her husband in the Philippine Baggio Mission. She worked with the Vietnamese Branch in Taylorsville. Also served for many years as an ordinance worker in the Jordan River Temple.

She is survived by husband, Jack; children, Judi and Dan Waechter, West Valley City; Jerry and Kathy Dexter, Magna; Joy and Martin Hansen, Denver, CO; Janet and Robert Baldwin, Taylorsville; Jay Dexter, Lewiston, ID; Jeffrey and Vicky Dexter, South Jordan; Jill Richey, West Valley City; 33 grandchildren; 51 great-grandchildren; sister, Nina Duke, Salt Lake City. Preceded in death by parents; two sisters and four brother; one grandson.

Funeral services will be held Sat., 2:00 p.m. at the Taylorsville 19th Ward, 2030 W. Chateau Avenue (5225 S.). Friends and family may call Fri., 6-8 p.m. at McDougal Funeral Home, 4330 S. Redwood Road and Saturday at the church, 1-1:45 p.m. Interment, Valley View Memorial Park.
