Hadley named to fill 2nd District vacancy

Gov. Mike Leavitt has appointed Scott M. Hadley to be a judge in the 2nd District Court. Pending confirmation by the Utah Senate, Hadley will replace 2nd District Judge Stanton Taylor, who is retiring.

Hadley has worked as court commissioner for the 2nd District since 1997, worked in the law firm of VanCott, Bagley, Cornwall & McCarthy from 1987-97 and previously worked at the law firm of Campbell & Neeley, becoming a partner in 1985.

Hadley received his law degree from Brigham Young University and was admitted to the U.S. Federal and Utah State Bar in 1981.
