Obituary: Joseph William LeBeau

Joseph William LeBeau left his earthly mission, March 4, 2003, after a courageous battle with

diabetes.

Joseph was born February 13, 1922 in Roosevelt, Utah to Joseph Adolphus and Maude Eva Redden

LeBeau. Joseph graduated from Roosevelt High School in 1940, attended Brigham Young University, 1940-1942, and then entered the U.S. Naval Service on August 22, 1942. Upon discharge on February 18, 1945, he opened a gun shop in Vernal, where he made and repaired guns. Some of those guns are now selling for $10,000.00 each. He then created a partnership with his brother-in-law, establishing the A & L Furniture Store.

He married Lorraine Dorothy McCraw, on May 26, 1960, in Vernal, Utah. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple on December 8, 1964. Six children were added to this union: Eva Lorraine Lori, Tammie Marie, Heidi Dawn, Joseph Bruce, Jonathan William and Jeremey Adolphus. Joseph contracted with Uintah County, Duchesne County, Moffat County, Colorado, B.Y.U., University of Utah, and Utah State University, to install and maintain an aerial television system, radio transmission, and educational facilities which he lovingly created, maintained, and endured many life threatening experiences, for 42 years. Joseph's happiest times were spent on the mountains, fishing, hanging out with his family, teaching his sons the business, snowmobiling, farming, wood working and enjoying life to the fullest.

Joseph, lovingly called Joe, Doc, Hun, Grandpa and " Dad " will be greatly missed by his widow, L. Dorothy LeBeau, children and grandchildren, Lori, (Arnold), and Jarric Lingwall, Tammie, (Ken), Joshua, Zachariah, Kameron, and Kamye Dearing, Heidi, (Jared) Looser, Chauntel Hansen, Kausha LeBeau and Tanner Looser, Joseph, (Kathleen), Joseph II, Jordan, Kira, Benjamin, and Kaitlynn LeBeau and Jeremey (Stephanie) Brittian, Abigail, Jeremey, and Jonathan LeBeau. He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, one sister, and his son Jonathan William LeBeau.

His funeral service with be held on Tuesday, March 11, 2003, at 12:00 noon at the Glines Fourth Ward LDS Chapel located at 1510 West Hwy 40, Vernal, Utah. A viewing will be held Monday, March 10, 2003 at the Spafford Funeral Home located at 224 East 500 South from 6:00- 9:00 p.m. and from 10:30-11:30 a.m. prior to the funeral services at the Glines Chapel.
