Robyn M. Card, Mapleton, has been selected by the National Art Education Association to receive the Utah Art Educator of the Year Award. The award honors individuals whose service and contribution to art education merit recognition and acclaim.

Victoria Rowe has been appointed as director of Utah State University's Nora Eccles Harrison Museum of Art. Rowe has been the museum's interim director since Sept. 2002. She received her master's degree in studio art in 1991 and is a member of many art education associations.
Weber State University visual arts students have created a sculpture that is mounted on the side of the Utah Bottling Works Building, 2655 Kiesel Ave., Ogden. The 12-foot-high, 100-foot-wide work of art consists of 57 pieces of steel and glass weighing between 150-300 pounds each. The work represents the culmination of two semesters' work.
Bonnie Conrad of Woodland Hills captured the Best of Show award at the Western Spirit Art Show. Sponsored by the Old Pioneer Museum in Cheyenne, Wyo., the exhibit will be on display through March.
