Born August 7, 1915, Holden, Utah to James Samuel and Della Allred Hunter. Passed away May 22, 2003.
Married LaVon Wood June 15, 1938; sealed in the Manti LDS Temple. Lived in Holden, UT until approximately 1946. Moved to Salt Lake City and started Hunter Insulation where he made employment possible for many friends and family members. Earl always had love and a special place in his heart for children and animals. He always carried suckers for the children and his animals would run to greet him. After retirement he bought and developed Hunter Stables and Arena. He was proud of this establishment and made many friends. High priest in the LDS church Olympus 8th Ward.
He is survived by his wife, LaVon; daughters, Lynne Church (Carl), Lawna Webster (Harry); 12 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; sisters, Stella Stephenson, Connie Larsen; and broth-er, Reed Hunter, Holden, UT. His dog, Sugar, and favorite horse, Cha Cha, were his devoted friends. Preceded in death by son, Scott; mother and father; sister, June; and brothers, George, Ross, and LaVar.
Services will be 11 a.m. Tues. May 27, 2003, Olympus LDS 8th Ward Chapel, 2700 E. 4430 S. Viewing, Holladay-Cottonwood Mortuary, 4670 S. Highland Dr, Mon. 6-8 p.m. and at the church Tues. 9:45-10:45 a.m. Interment, Holden City Cemetery, Holden, UT.
