1947 ~ 2003
David Carl Erickson passed away at his home, Sandy, Utah May 19, 2003.
Born June 11, 1947 in Hartford, CT to Walter and Muriel Erickson. He earned a B.A. from the University of Connecticut and a Master's in Education from William Patterson College. He married Carolyn Cady Erickson June 13, 1970.
Dave had an outstanding career assisting and advocating for people with disabilities. He was responsible for building and developing the Kennedy-Donovan School in New Bedford, MA. He most recently worked as a case manager for the Utah Department of Human Services for People with Disabilities.
Privileged to live next to the ocean and mountains during his lifetime, Dave enjoyed camping, hiking, boating, skiing, and cooking with his family, friends and dogs.
He is survived by his wife; two sons, Christopher, Andrew; parents; brother, Douglas, his wife, Peggy, Brewster, MA; sister, Jeanne, her husband, Jerry, Charlotte, NC; mother-in-law, Barbara Cady, Salt LAke City; brother-in-law, George Cady, his wife, Sandy, Santa Barbara, CA; sister-in-law, Anne R. Cady, Vienna, VA; aunt, Millicent Reid, St. Petersburg, FL, Morris, CT; seven nieces and nephews; and two great-nephews.

A memorial service will be 7:30 p.m. Thurs. May 29, 2003 First Unitarian Church, 569 S. 1300 E, Salt Lake City. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests a donation be made to the Millcreek F.I.D.O.S., Save Our Canyons, or to the First Unitarian Church.
