I have to admit that I think people overestimate the power of origin. I think white people can effectively work with minorities. Beyond this, I think that questioning Tony Yapias' credentials is absurd.

He is the Utah director of Hispanic affairs. He is neither the director of Catholic affairs or the director of Mexican affairs. Being a Peruvian and a Latter-day Saint does not remove him from knowing the issues.

I think we need to embrace our diversity and look forward to a land in which every person holds so much love for all others that government outreach bureaus are unneeded.
