Sponsored by the Episcopal Diocese of Utah and the Tanner Humanities Center, U. Palmer will discuss the "fragmentation of cultures" and "the importance of belonging to one another."

ORIGINAL WRITING COMPETITION, 2003, sponsored by Utah Arts Council, will award winners in novels, nonfiction, short-story collection, young-adult book, poetry, short story and personal essay.
