A Utah Highway Patrol trooper was injured when his car rolled in Utah County Friday.

The crash was just one of more than a dozen accidents that UHP troopers responded to during a busy Memorial Day weekend commute along the Wasatch Front.

The trooper lost control of his vehicle at about milepost 32 along U-68 after a motor home pulled in front of him and went into an alfalfa field, UHP Sgt. Terry Woodward said. The trooper did have his lights running and may have been trying to catch up to another car.

The trooper was airlifted to Utah Regional Medical Center, where he was listed in fair condition Friday night, Woodward said. No other injuries were reported.
