Ronald G. Coleman and Chere H. Romney have been appointed by Gov. Mike Leavitt to the Board of State History.

They replace Richard Sadler and Paul Williams, whose terms ended.

Coleman is an associate professor of history at the University of Utah whose primary research focus has been African American history. Romney is a Salt Lake attorney and Realtor and as an adjunct faculty member has taught political science at Brigham Young University.

The Board of State History consists of 11 members appointed by the governor for four-year terms. The board makes policy for the Division of State History.
