EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. — Defender Steve Jolley scored with six minutes remaining as the MetroStars beat the Dallas Burn 2-1 on Saturday night for their fifth straight victory.

The MetroStars (5-1-1) matched the longest winning streak in team history, set in 2001, and extended their unbeaten streak to six games. Dallas is 0-3-3.

Clint Mathis also scored for the MetroStars. Jason Kreis scored for Dallas, ending MetroStars goalkeeper Tim Howard's shutout streak at 292 minutes.

WIZARDS 2, GALAXY 1: At Kansas City, Mo., Preki scored on a 20-yard shot in the 89th minute to lift Kansas City past Los Angeles.

Igor Simutenkov opened the scoring for Kansas City (3-1-4) in the 21st minute, and Nick Garcia tied it for Los Angeles (0-3-4) in the 75th minute.

REVOLUTION 3, CREW 2: At Columbus, Ohio, Taylor Twellman scored in the 89th minute and Brain Kamler had two goals as the New England Revolution beat the Columbus Crew 3-2 on Saturday night.

New England improved to 4-2-2, leaving it two points behind the first-place MetroStars in the Eastern Division.
