NEW YORK — Carlos Delgado and Tom Wilson each hit a pair of RBI doubles to help the Toronto Blue Jays send the reeling New York Yankees to their sixth straight home loss, 5-2 Saturday.

New York has dropped 10 of 11 at Yankee Stadium for just the second time in franchise history and lost 10 of 13 overall to fall 1 1/2 games behind Boston in the AL East.

Cory Lidle (8-2) won his seventh straight decision to become the majors' first eight-game winner, and Frank Catalanotto hit two of Toronto's seven doubles and scored twice.

RED SOX 12, INDIANS 3: At Boston, Nomar Garciaparra homered to extend his hitting streak to 24 games, and Manny Ramirez was 3-for-3 with a homer as the Boston Red Sox beat the Cleveland Indians.

Garciaparra, Bill Mueller and David Ortiz also had three hits as the Red Sox, for the second day in a row, scored at least five runs in the first inning to beat Cleveland.

John Burkett (3-2) left after five innings, having allowed two runs on two hits and a walk, striking out two.

ANGELS 7, DEVIL RAYS 2: Anaheim, Calif.,Troy Glaus went 4-for-5 with a homer and four RBIs as the Anaheim Angels beat the Tampa Bay Devil Rays.

Glaus hit a solo home run in the seventh inning and a three-run double in the eighth.

John Lackey (3-4) won for the second time in eight starts, allowing two runs and four hits in seven innings.

Joe Kennedy (3-4) allowed three runs and eight hits in 4 1/3 innings. The left-hander, who played high school ball about 100 miles south of Edison Field in El Cajon, Calif., is 0-4 with a 7.33 ERA in five career starts against the Angels.

ROYALS 3, ATHLETICS 1: At Oakland, Calif., Mark Sweeney and Joe Randa hit home runs as the Kansas City Royals defeated Oakland, snapping a seven-game losing streak to the Athletics.

Kris Wilson (1-0), making his first start in over a year, allowed one run on four hits in five innings. He struck out one and didn't walk a batter.

It was his longest outing since he pitched 6 2/3 innings at Baltimore on Aug. 15, 2001.

TIGERS 1, WHITE SOX 0: At Chicago, Gary Knotts outpitched Esteban Loaiza as Detroit shut down Chicago for its third straight win.

ORIOLES 10, RANGERS 3: At Arlington, Texas, Melvin Mora hit a go-ahead three-run homer and had five RBIs as Baltimore snapped Texas' seven-game winning streak.

Texas led 3-1 after six innings, but Mora hit a three-run homer off starter John Thomson (3-5) in the seventh to give Baltimore a 4-3 lead.

TWINS 7, MARINERS 2: At Seattle, former Salt Lake Buzz catcher A.J. Pierzynski homered and drove in three runs to lead the Twins over the Mariners.
