Emery Telecom attracts 40% to its DSL service

ORANGEVILLE, Emery County — Emery Telecom reports that its digital subscriber line service has attracted great interest, with 40 percent of its Internet users utilizing DSL.

That, according to the company, is way ahead of the 10 percent estimated DSL penetration among Internet users nationwide, according to the Leichtman Research Group of Durham, N.H.

Likewise, the percentage of Emery Telecom's DSL lines among its access lines is nearly 12 percent — far above published national estimates of 3.4 percent.

Emery Telecom serves Hanksville and communities in Carbon and Emery counties.
