If Internet searches are any indication, visitorship at Zion National Park may slip a bit this year.

Web search activity for Zion is down from the same level it was a year ago, according to Massachusetts-based global Internet network company Terra Lycos.

The top designation for which people searched the Internet from April 27 until May 17 was Walt Disney World. In fact, it was by far the top site, registering 67 percent more searches than No. 2 Myrtle Beach, S.C., and more than three times as many as No. 4 Grand Canyon.

Disneyland was third. The rest of the top 10 was rounded out by Cedar Point, an amusement park in Sandusky, Ohio; Universal Studios Orlando; Niagara Falls; Ocean City, Md.; Yellowstone National Park; and the White House.

Cedar Point rose the most year-over-year, up from 20th place last year and registering 85 percent more searches than a year ago. Six Flags Great America near Chicago also saw a large rise.

Joining Zion in the "slipping" category were Sea World Ohio and Daytona Beach, but the biggest losers were Monterey, Calif., and Oahu — down 60 percent compared with search activity in May 2002.
