Community members are invited to join efforts with Neighborhood Housing Services of Provo to paint the exteriors of Provo homes in five downtown neighborhoods.

The annual "Paint Your Heart Out" event is set for National NeighborWorks Week, June 7-14. This is an opportunity for human service organizations to host activities to revitalize neighborhoods.

Volunteers will be able to paint their hearts out on Saturday, June 7, as they assist in painting seven homes in three hours. Volunteers should meet at 8 a.m. at Joaquin Elementary School, 550 N. 600 East, Provo. Breakfast, lunch, T-shirts, water bottles and tools will be provided. Last year, more than 300 volunteers participated in a similar seven-home project.

Volunteers with time to help with preparatory work are asked to meet on Saturday, May 31, at 8 a.m. at Joaquin Elementary. Volunteers will scrape old paint and apply primer to prepare homes for the June 7 effort. All supplies will be provided.
