1976 ~ 2003

Ryan Brent Stark, 27, Orem, died May 23, 2003, of injuries suffered in an accident while serving his country on active duty with the Utah National Guard at the Tooele Army Depot.

He was born May 15, 1976, in Gallup, McKinley, NM, a son of Brent and Roberta Halona Stark. He married Cami Michelle Longson Dec 30, 1998, for time and all eternity in the Timpanogos LDS Temple.

He graduated from Mountain View High School, 1994. He would have received an Associate Degree from Utah Valley State College in December. He was employed as a welder/machinist at Colledge Machine, Lindon, UT. He had also been a firefighter for the U.S. Forest Service for a summer. He had been serving on active duty for the past year in Operation Noble Eagle, for Home-land Security. He had recently passed the Combat Life-saver Course for military personnel.

Ryan loved to be outdoors, running; he was very physically fit. The thing he loved most of all was spending time with his family, especially his sons. He also loved to play basketball, study and learn new things.

He was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and had served a mission in the South Dakota, Rapid City Mission, 1995-1997. Ryan was everyone's friend and was loved by all who knew him.

He is survived by his wife, Cami; sons, Cameron Xaverian, Crew Scott; parents; brothers, Bliss, Jason, Nick, all of Orem; and grandparents, Wal-lace and Betty Halona, Loretta Stark, Marcia Colledge. He was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Earl Stark and Dee Colledge.

Services will be Wed. May 28, 11:30 a.m. Cherry Hills LDS First Ward Chapel, 1700 S. 400 E, Orem. Friends may call Tues. May 27, 7-9 p.m. Walker Sanderson Funeral Home, 646 E. 800 N, Orem and Wed. 10-11:15 a.m. prior to the services at the church. Interment, Orem City Cemetery with full military rites conducted by the Utah National Guard.
