Don passed away Dec 1, 2002 while wintering in Rogersville, AL. He was 77 years old.
Don was born in Salt Lake City, UT March 19, 1925, to C.A. and Viola Carabini Jensen. He graduated from Utah State University, and served his country in World War II. He married Jean Evans Sept 30, 1949. Don retired after 27 years of service as a Sergeant with the Utah Highway Patrol. He then worked for nine years with the Salt Lake County Sheriff's Department. Don was a member of the El Kalah Shrine, past master of the Christopher Deihl Masonic Lodge, and past patron of the Eastern Star.
Don was preceded in death by his father, Al; mother, Viola; and sister, Lavon Domichell. Survivors include his wife of 53 years, Jean; daughter, Leslie D. (Addison) Hobley, AL; sons, Michael W. (Barbara) Jensen, TX, Chris E., Paul A. Jensen, UT; cousin, George (Dorothy) Dawson, NV; grandchildren, David D. (Kim) Hobley, CA, Kimberlee J. Hobley, AL, Angela (Jason) Minor, UT, Christy (Mike) Richards, Jeremy Jensen; great-grand-children, Sierra, Jessica, Chastity.
Don was a hard working patrolman who always went the extra mile to help those whose paths he crossed. Before ill health prevented his ability, he enjoyed hunting and fishing with his sons. He will be missed and loved by family and friends.
Graveside services will be Wed. May 28, 2003, 1 p.m. Valley View Memorial Park, 4400 W. 4100 S, West Valley City, UT.
