1910 ~ 2003

Richard Alvin Wilcox died Saturday, May 24, 2003 of natural causes at the age of 92 at the Orchard Park Care Center in Orem, Utah.

He was born November 21, 1910 in Mt. Pleasant, Sanpete, Utah to Richard Webley and Sarah Spens Wilcox. He married Mildren Hatch Stratton on September 11, 1934 in Brigham City, Box Elder, Utah. She died January 10, 1948. He married Mary June Elizabeth Phillips Little on June 10, 1949 in Provo, Utah. She died on February 23, 1986. His brother and sisters preceded him in death, Gerald Webley Wilcox, Beth M. Wilcox Hymas and Nellie May Wilcox Petersen. Richard was retired from Geneva Steel. He had been a coal miner, owned a block plant, and worked construction. He was raised in Mt. Pleasant, Utah. He lived in Price, Utah many years prior to moving to American Fork, Utah in 1956. He was a past governor of Loyal Order of Moose. He loved camping and visiting relatives. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.

He is survived by his children: Sharon Wilcox Marsh (Marvin), John H. Wilcox (Kathi) and Robert Little (Pat). He has thirteen grandchildren and seventeen great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Thursday May 29, 2003 at 11:00 a.m. in the American Fork 32nd Ward Chapel, 270 North 900 East, American Fork. Viewing will be held Wednesday, May 28, 2003 at the Anderson & Sons Mortuary (49 East 100 North Am. Fork) from 6 to 8 p.m. and Thursday from 9:45 to 10:45 a.m. at the church prior to the services. Interment in the American Fork Cemetery.
