"Loving Mother"
Our loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, Lillie Margaret Gagosian Pecorelli, Age 84, passed away peacefully Saturday May 24, 2003 in Salt Lake City.
Born January 30, 1919 in Price Utah, the daughter of Ferdinand Hagop Gagosian and Lillie May Whiting. Married Frank Garry Pecorelli August 14, 1937, the great love of her life, together for 37 years.
Our mother's greatest accomplishments were: love of her family, church and hobbies, member of LDS Church. Graduated from Carbon High School, 1937. While attending High School she had a secret desire to become a beautician, but her father forbade it.
Worked for Singer Sewing Machine Company for eleven years as a salesperson, sewing instructor and also in accounting. She next worked for the University of Utah in the Accounting Department for fifteen years, retiring in 1984.
She had many hobbies, some of which were cooking, ceramics, crocheting, knitting, sewing and gardening. After her retirement, she was able to realize her passion for travelling to many places on all continents except Australia.
She instructed ceramics for many years. Mom always devoted her life to her family and always made them her number one concern.
Preceded in death by her parents, husband, two brothers and three sisters.
Survived by her children: Jean Pecorelli, Carolyn (Robert) Halowell, and Don (Deborah) Pecorelli of Salt Lake City; Five grandchildren: Robert, Gary, Troy, Scott Halowell, and Deborah Estrada; and eight great-grandchildren; all of Salt Lake City; Three brothers: Lester, Hagop, and Edgar Gagosian of Sacramento CA; sister, Elva Gagosian Jones, Culver City, CA; and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services Thursday, May 29, 2003, 11:00 a.m. at Hillside LDS Ward Chapel, 5600 So. 435 E. Friends may call Wed. 6 8 p.m. at Jenkins-Soffe Mortuary, 4760 So. State St. and Thurs. from 10 10:45 a.m. at the church. Interment Price City Cemetery Thurs. at 2:30 p.m.
