PRESTON, IDAHO - LaVera Jeanne Kniffing Parker, 83, former Logan and West Jordan, Utah resident, passed away Sunday, May 25, 2003, in Preston, Idaho.
She was born July 3, 1919, in Salt Lake City, Utah, to Frank and Delia May Emms Kniffing. She married Gilbert Emil Parker on Jan. 31, 1941, in Salt Lake City.
She enjoyed dancing with her husband. They enjoyed 62 years of marriage together. She loved her family and grandchildren very much.
She is survived by her son, Gilbert Lee (Carolyn) Parker, Preston; a daughter-in-law, Lynette Parker, Salt Lake City; seven grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, by a son, Lynn Darrell; a brother, Frank "Sonny" Kniffing; and a grandson, Tommy Parker.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, May 28, 2003, in the Crosspointe LDS Ward Chapel, 5980 S. 1300 W., Bennion, Utah. Friends may call Tuesday from 7-8 p.m. at Webb Funeral Home, 109 E. Oneida, Preston, and Wednesday from 12-12:45 p.m. at the church in Bennion. Interment will be in the Murray, Utah Cemetery.
