Salt Lake firefighters are investigating a fire that started in a vacant duplex late Sunday night.
At 10:19 p.m. neighbors living near 900 South and 120 West noticed smoke and called firefighters, Salt Lake fire spokesman Dennis McKone said. Firefighters found a duplex on fire. The fire was mostly extinguished in 15 minutes.
The fire started in the basement, McKone said. But its cause is unknown.
Firefighters do not estimate damages on vacant buildings, McKone said.
