DRAPER — A small segment of I-15 will be closed overnight May 28 and 29 and June 1 and 2 as the Utah Department of Transportation demolishes the half interchange at 11800 South.

The interchange — the northbound offramp to State Street and southbound I-15 onramp from State Street — is being removed to improve safety on State Street and maintain the fluid operation of I-15.

I-15 will be closed between 11600 South and 12300 South, from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m., all four nights. The northbound I-15 onramp at 12300 South also will be closed.

Later this summer, crews will begin making improvements to State Street between 12300 South and 11200 South, upgrading the State Street intersections at 11400 South and 11800 South, and permanently connecting Factory Outlet Drive to State Street.
