Winn passed away peacefully on May 26, 2003 from the effects of a stroke suffered in June 2002.

She was born on May 22, 1923 in Logan, Utah to Frankland J. Kennard and Elinor Scholes. She was the oldest of 12 children. She graduated from Nursing School in 1954 and received her masters in psychiatric nursing in 1964. She was on the faculty of the University of Utah College of Nursing and worked for Salt Lake County Mental Health. She sang in the Tabernacle Choir for many years and was an accomplished organist.

She married Newell Christy Remington on the Salt Lake Temple on April 23, 1954. He died in 1961. She married William H. Call on October 19, 1967. They served a mission to the San Antonio Texas Mission. She served as a Salt Lake Temple worker for many years as well as many positions in the LDS church.

She is survived by her sons, David N. (Shirlene), Erda; Doug (Bonnie), Salt Lake; Don F.(Christine), Stansbury; stepson, William Lee Call (Mary), Phoenix, AZ; 19 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. She is survived by 10 brothers and sisters, Ralph, Dorothy, Rose, James, Aaron, Lee, Raeburn, Roger, Joseph, and Royal. Preceded in death by Newell; her parents; one grandchild; a sister Marie, and a brother, Robert.

Viewing at Larkin Mortuary, 260 East South Temple, on Thursday May 29, 2003 from 6-9 p.m. Funeral services will be at the Salt Lake 14th Ward, 142 West 200 North, on Friday May 30, 2003 at 11:00 with a viewing one hour prior to the services.
