Peter Marlin Green, beloved husband, father, grandfather, age 69 passed away on May 25, 2003 at a local hospital in Salt Lake City, Utah following a short battle with cancer.
He was born July 3, 1933 in Salt Lake City, to Delbert and Louise Green. He attended school in Ogden, Utah at the Utah School for the Deaf and Blind. He married Sally Shimoda on August 4, 1953 in Los Angeles, California. He worked for Midwest Service and Supply for 33 years and retired from the Bureau of Land Management in 1999.
Peter loved making his annual travel plans to Lake Powell and sailing on his houseboat, the Gray Lady with family and friends. He was an active member of the Utah Association for the Deaf many years and served in different officer positions. He was Treasurer for 18 years and managed the UAD Bookstore for a number of years that was established in the Utah Community Center for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing. He was a Western Regional Representative to the National Association of the Deaf. He was awarded the prestigious "Golden Hand" award by the Utah Association for the Deaf and awarded an Achievement and Merit Award for the "USDB Alumni Achievement" by the Utah School for the Deaf and Blind.
He is survived by his wife, Sally; sons; Marlin (Cheryl), Irwin (Traci), Darin (Pam). Also by the following grandchildren; Jason, Shaun, Sarah, Micheal, Mykio, Mikayle, Sierra, Chris, Desiree. great-granddaughter, Jadyn; brother, Arnold, St. George; sisters, Naomi and Maxine, Salt Lake City. Preceded in death by parents, brother Bill, niece Carol.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Utah Association for the Deaf in Peters name.
A memorial service will be held Friday, May 30, 2003, 12:00 noon at the Cannon Mortuary, 2460 E. Bengal Blvd. (7600 S.) where friends and family may call Thursday, May 29, 2003 from 5-8 p.m.
