Our beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend passed away peacefully, May 26, 2003.

She was born December 26, 1921 in Marriott, Utah. She was the daughter of Lawrence and Mary Edith Ensign Ritchie.

She married Ray Steed Odd in the Salt Lake LDS Temple on June 18, 1941.

He preceded her in death on April 21, 1986.

On March 15, 1990 she married James H. Patterson.

He preceded her in death, June 2, 2002.

She was raised in Marriott, Utah and educated in Weber County, and graduated from Weber High School. Since 1941 she has lived in Kaysville and Fruit Heights. She was active in her LDS church, where she had served as primary president, and teacher, in the presidency of the Relief Society, a visiting teacher and held many auxiliary positions. She enjoyed spending summer weekends with her family at their cabin in the Uintahs and at Bear Lake and her winters at her condo in St. George. Her greatest joy was being with her family. She loved to sew, crochet, quilt, do ceramics, read and travel. She worked at HAFB for 22 years, retiring from service in 1972. She was a member of the Kaysville Literary Club, Daughter of the Utah Pioneers, Lantern Club, Athena Club, and Exhausted Roosters and Hens Club.

She is survived by one daughter, Nancy (Elton "Butch") Over, three granddaughters, Laurie (Brad) Barnes, Lisa (Ken) Jones, all from Kaysville; Lesley (Thomas) Vance, Woods Cross; one grandson, Shane Odd, Ogden; and a niece, Nannette Ritchie Stone, nine great-grandchildren, three sisters, Arlene Bingham, West Haven; Lorraine McKay, Meridian, ID; Vivian Child, Kuna, ID; and one brother, James Ritchie, Medford, OR.

She is also survived by two step-sons, Stanley (Cleota) Patterson, Wickenburg, AR; Craig (Carol) Patterson, West Point; two step-daughters, Carolyn (Joe) Thornley, Round Rock, TX; Sherrill (Don) Lowe, Bountiful; 17 step-grandchildren and 35 step-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by one adopted son, Michael Odd, her parents, three sisters, Geneva, Ardelle, and Eleanor, and four brothers, Alva, Thurman, Ensign and Ted.

Funeral services will be held Friday, May 30, 2003 at 11 a.m. at the Fruit Heights South Mountain Road Chapel, 901 South Mtn. Road. Friends and family may call Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Lindquist's Kaysville Mortuary, 400 No. Main and Friday from 9:30 to 10:45 a.m. at the church.

Interment, Kaysville City Cemetery.
