Pennsylvania-based Motorola Inc.'s Broadband Communications Sector and New York-based Bresnan Communications on Tuesday said they would work together to upgrade Bresnan's Mountain Region systems.

Bresnan plans to upgrade about 3,000 miles of infrastructure throughout its cable systems in Utah, Montana, Wyoming and Colorado, where it has 314,000 subscribers.

Motorola will provide a line of optics and RF products, along with project management support, to enable Bresnan to meet its two-year timetable. Upon completion, Bresnan expects to offer advanced services such as high-speed Internet access to more than 90 percent of its customers.
