The Deseret News has gone on record indicating a "need" to fight against the development of any type of spent nuclear fuel storage on the Goshute reservation.
Why all the "Chicken Little" attitudes, from the governor's office on down to a newspaper editorial?
Airplane crashes? Earthquakes? Please. Decades ago we put the Goshutes out there to waste away. They have tried to survive. Heaven knows, I'd much rather have a storage facility in Skull Valley than some major casinos.
Are people here afraid of a very small tribe that just might have a very good idea, considering the site and its end use?
I say, let the Goshute tribe go forward. Quit robbing them of their dignity. Instead of just parading the five Indian nations to the world, we can also join with them to the betterment of the entire state.
