"Together Again"
Our devoted and loving mother returned home on her 99th birthday, May 20, 2003.
Born, May 20, 1904, in Toitenham, London, England to Arthur and Elizabeth Whittle Wilkins. She spent an enjoyable childhood in England where she received her education, first employment opportunities, and joined The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Upon coming to Salt Lake City in 1928, she worked as a buyer for Keith O'Brien's Department Store. During this time she dated her future husband Ralph Valentine Chisholm. They married on April 12, 1934, in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. Together they raised four boys on a mini farm in Holladay, Utah. Among her many accomplishments, somehow, she managed to get through her life without a drivers license. She will be remembered for being a devoted and loving wife, and a wonderful mother who through her life, never ceased being concerned about each member of her family. She had absolute faith that obedience to the Gospel of Jesus Christ put the Lord on your side. She will be greeted by her loving husband, Ralph, parents, brothers, Arthur and John, sisters Grace and Constance who preceded him in death.
The family would like to thank the caregivers of the Holladay Home for the Elderly, Garden Terrace, and Harmony Home Health & Hospice for the loving care they gave our mother.
She is survived by her sons Donald (Joy) Salt Lake City; David (Norma Jean) Holladay; Wayne (Jeannine) Central Valley, UT; Robert (Cheryl) Salt Lake; sisters Marjorie Johnson, Monroe, Utah; Patrica Patk, Chewelah, Washington; Betty Cabanne (Ed) Athol, Idaho; 22 grandchildren and 28 great-grandchildren.
