"Daddio"
Michael John Meldrum, loving father, devoted husband, son, brother and great friend to all, passed away on Tuesday night, May 27, 2003 due to injuries sustained in an automobile accident. As always, his last actions were selfless as he was traveling late to finish a job early in order to be home with his kids for special events in their lives.
Mike was born January 1, 1962 to Merlyn and Marilyn Meldrum in Salt Lake City, UT. Mike has five brothers Dave (Roberta), Randy (Charlotte), Jeff (Jalynn), Doug (Tammy), and Kelly (Keirsten) Meldrum. He married his 8th grade sweetheart, Celia Rowley after graduating from Jordan High School. They were married November 12, 1981 in the Salt Lake Temple. They are the parents of four children Ryan (20), Nathan (18), Chris (14) and Tricia (9). He worked in his family business, Meldrum Scale Company, for 22 years. He was faithful in all of his duties and was the Elders Quorum President of the Westland 10th Ward. He was always willing to give up his time to serve others and was more concerned with others than himself. He was a true example of a Christ-like person. Mike's greatest joy in life was spending time with his family, four-wheeling, camping, scouting and scuba diving.
A Funeral Service will be held Saturday, May 31st at 11:00a.m. the Westland 10th Ward, 7645 South 3200 West, West Jordan, where friends may call on Friday from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. and one hour prior to the service on Saturday.
