CASTLE DALE - <! > Our beloved husband, father, son, brother, officer and friend Jeremiah Kirk Johnson died May 27, 2003 in a traffic accident on duty for the Emery County Sheriff Department.
He was born July 1, 1972 in Rexburg, ID, to Randy G. and Elizabeth "Betsy" Kirk Johnson. He married Lisa Marie Simons in the Manti Temple on Dec. 16, 1995.
Jeremiah was a 1990 graduate of Emery High School, and received his associate's degree from C.E.U. He was a faithful member of the LDS Church and served an honorable mission to the Guayaquil Ecuador North Mission. He loved his family, and anything that had to do with the sea. He was a World War II History buff, an expert marksman, enjoyed camping in Yellowstone with his family and was an avid reader. He has been a deputy sheriff with the Emery County Sheriff's Department for over six years.
He is survived by his wife Lisa and children Trevor (5), Noah (3), and Sydney (1) all of Castle Dale. Also his parents Randy and Betsy Johnson of Castle Dale, and his wife's parents Morris and Luan Simons of Spanish Fork, his brothers and sisters Jennifer (Ronald) Jensen, Jessica (Conrad) Anderson, Joshua Johnson all of Castle Dale, Jacob Johnson and Janelle Johnson both of Washington DC, and his grandparents Tedd and Betty Johnson of Preston, ID. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents.
Friends may call for a visitation on Fri. May 30, 2003 at the Fausett Mortuary in Castle Dale from 7-9 p.m. Funeral Services will be held at the Castle Dale Stake Center on Sat. May 31, 2003 at 1 p.m., with visitation an hour prior at the church. Interment will follow in the Castle Dale Cemetery under the direction of Fausett Mortuary, Castle Dale.
