MT. PLEASANT <! > - Our beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather Donald Clark Montgomery, age 86 passed away May 27, 2003 in Orem, UT with his family at his side.
He was born on Dec. 27, 1916 in N. Ogden, UT to Hyrum Alanson and Emily Louise Clark Montgomery. He later moved to CA where he met his future wife Barbara Maughan Christiansen. They were married on Sept. 19, 1939 in the Logan Temple. Don was a faithful member of the LDS Church. He served in many callings over the years including Sunday School, YMMIA, and Elder's Quorum Pres also Stake High Councilman and
Bishop of two Wards. He also did Spanish Name Extraction for several years.
Don is survived by his wife of 63 1/2 years, Barbara, Mt. Pleasant, UT; six daughters, Judy Barney, Newcastle, WA; Nancy (Gary) Ray, Ephraim, UT; Sue Smith, Santa Barbara, CA; Donna (Scott) Bischoff, Ephraim, UT; Debbie (David) Lund, Ftn. Green, UT; and Terry Montgomery, Beaumont, CA. Also survived by 20 grandchildren; and 30 great-grandchildren with one due in June. Preceded in death by parents, brothers, Glen and Vern; sister, Blanche Addy; grandson, Alex Lund and great-grandson, Keaton Ray.
Funeral services will be Sat. May 31, 2003 at 11:00 a.m. in the Mt. Pleasant 4th Ward Chapel (49 S. State). Friends may call Friday from 6-8 p.m. at Magleby-Rasmussen Mortuary (96 N. 100 W.) in Mt. Pleasant and Sat. from 9:30-10:30 a.m. at the church prior to services.
