1920 ~ 2003
Our beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, Billy Junior Wilhite passed away peacefully in the hospital, due to complications on 27 May, 2003.
Dad was born 25 October, 1920 in Little Rock, Arkansas, to Warren F. Wilhite and Bessie Wiggins Wilhite. Dad graduated from high school at age 16 and had two years of college. He married Vivian Budvarson on 19 October, 1943 in the Mesa, Arizona Temple. Mom and Dad lived in San Diego, Calif. for 44 years. They have been married for 59 years. He served a six-year term in the Navy during World War II, and worked Civil Service for 30 years. He loved his country and his church; serving in various callings, including Bishop, High Council, Temple Worker, Genealogy Specialist, Scouting, and served an LDS mission to Hong Kong with his wife, Vivian. Dad loved to talk to people and became friends with everyone.
Dad is survived by his wife, Vivian; children: John (Nancy) Wilhite, Sandy; Beatrice (Chuck) Watson, Ventura, California; David (Dorothy) Wilhite, Ogden; Jim (Joy) Wilhite, Red Bluff, California; 23 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren. Also survived by sisters: Dorothy Bennett, Glendale, Arizona; and Mary Lou Budvarson, Silverton, Idaho.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, 31 May, 2003 at 11:00 a.m. at the Crescent 16th Ward, 251 East 10600 So., Sandy, UT. A viewing will be held at the church, just prior, from 9:30 to 10:45 a.m. Funeral Directors: SereniCare.
