Doris Mae Phillips was born and raised in Springville, Utah at the family home. She was the fourth child born to Thomas Victor and Effie Coffman Phillips.
She passed away Sunday, May 25, 2003.
Doris attended Grant Elementary, Springville Junior High and graduated from Springville High School in 1948.
She went on to attend Snow College and received her associate degree in home economics.
Doris loved her sewing and doing crafts work. She was known for her hard work and service to her parents and others.
She was preceded in death by her parents and one sister, E. Lucille Phillips Bartholomew. She is survived by LaMar (Shirlyene) Phillips, Pleasant Grove, UT; Verl Dean Phillips, Eureka, UT; Blaine C. (Carolyn) Phillips, Ogden, UT; Harold D. (Connie) Phillips, Seattle, WA; Barbara Kane, Anaheim, CA; (Jay) Deeben, Springville, UT; and Ruth M. Gray, Smithfield, UT. She is also survived by an abundance of nieces, nephews, grand-nieces and grand-nephews.
We would like to thank the many friends and associates who enriched her life. We would like to thank those who gave assistance to her in her later life and those who helped her at Art City Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, May 29, 2003 at 2 p.m. in the
Springville Stake Center, 245 South 600 East (Kolob Circle) in Springville.
Friends and family may call Wednesday evening from 6-8 p.m. at Wheeler Mortuary, 211 East 200 South in Springville and Thursday at the church one hour prior to services. Burial will be in the Springville Evergreen Cemetery.
