Ohio-based MTC Technologies Inc. said Wednesday that its wholly owned subsidiary, Modern Technologies Corp., has been awarded a task order to provide advisory and assistance to meet North American Air Defense requirements.
MTC will provide a range of diverse acquisition program management, acquisition logistics, engineering, production management and technical configuration management support for the Atmospheric Early Warning System family of early-warning radars, radar processors and associated equipment.
The Ogden Air Logistics Center, which made the award, has provided an initial $560,000 to begin programmatic and technical work. The effort will be managed by MTC's Ogden operations in Utah.
The total estimated value, if the subsequent four one-year options are exercised by the government, is $4.55 million.
Michael Solley, MTCT president and chief executive officer, said eight workers will be added immediately at Hill Air Force Base and that the company expects "the total effort to grow over the next few years."
