Monday's paper carried yet another editorial decrying the "chilling prospect" of nuclear fuel rod storage in Utah. I can understand that a politician might take this position to gain the support of the uneducated public, but I would think that a major newspaper could rise above such silliness in its editorial policy. Even if a fighter jet crashed into a cask holding the waste and somehow split it open, almost no one would get more radiation exposure than I got at the pool yesterday. Your editorial's unfounded paranoia toward nuclear waste is simply inexcusable.
