KAYSVILLE<! >

-Robert Barlow Hellewell passed away peacefully, surrounded by love, on May 28, 2003.

Robert was born August 8, 1917 in Heyburn, Idaho, as the oldest of the six children of Robert and Adelia Barlow Hellewell. Robert married Ruth Read November 10, 1943 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple and they had been married just short of 57 years when Ruth passed away in April of 2000. Robert and Ruth are the parents of seven children, Barla, Rosalie, Read, Bruce, Renee, Mark and Mary Ann.

World War II found Robert serving diligently in the American Red Cross.

His professional career focused on the care and maintenance of educational facilities. He served both as the superintendent of physical facilities at BYU and then as assistant superintendent of physical facilities for Davis School District until his retirement in 1982. Robert was awarded a bachelors degree from BYU with five of his children in the audience. He was especially delighted when late in life he was awarded a Master's

of Science from the University of Utah.

He loved service in the church, his family, the Spanish people and language and would go camping with anyone at anytime.

Roberts missionary service includes the Spanish American Mission and, with Ruth, the Washington D.C. Temple, and the Barcelona Spain Mission. With a young family, he served as Bishop of the Provo Ninth Ward. He especially enjoyed his years of service with the youth. He was the grateful recipient of the Boy Scouts of America Silver Beaver Award in 1979.

Robert's is a life well lived. He is a man of integrity. He kept his promises.

Via con Dios, Dad. <! >
