The Utah Half Ironman Triathlon will begin and end Saturday at the Utah Lake State Park, which will be closed to all boating and public traffic until noon.
After the 1.2-mile swim in the lake, athletes will bike for 56 miles through Provo, Springville and Spanish Fork. Most athletes will complete the bike portion by noon.
A half marathon will then wind through the streets of Provo and conclude along the Provo River Parkway Trail. All roads affected by the run course should be back to normal by 4 p.m. Expect delays in areas surrounding the course.
The following roads will be closed for the bike and run course:
Center Street from Geneva Road to the State Park will be closed to all eastbound traffic from 6:45 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. It will be open only to local and airport traffic.
Geneva Road will be closed from 600 South to 820 North.
620 North, west of Geneva Road closed to both directions except to local traffic until 4 p.m. Local traffic will enter and exit from the northern streets and will only cross 620 North when it is safe.
SR-75 — Both on- and offramps will be closed from 6 a.m. to 1 p.m. Use 400 South as an alternate route.
Kuhni Road will be open to local traffic only.
