I have just read the last story in the Final Acts series by Lois Collins and Elaine Jarvik. It was, like the rest of the stories in the series, a sincere, accurate, and touching discussion of the issues raised by death.
I applaud the Deseret News and the two reporters for tackling such a terribly difficult subject with such skill. You have provided a tremendous service by helping to educate the public about topics that all of us must face but that most would prefer to avoid.
This is an area in which a little information can dramatically change the outcome for those who are dying and those who are left behind. This series has provided Utah with more than a little information; information that will almost certainly translate into better deaths.
