STINGER NOTES:
After manager Mike Brumley indicated that Alfredo Amezaga would not be activated from the disabled list until Saturday, Amezaga was back in the lineup Thursday and homered to lead off the game. Infielder Adonis Harrison was sent back to double-A Arkansas . . . Robb Quinlan and Julio Ramirez extended their hitting streaks to seven games, but Keith Johnson had his snapped at six . . . Reports out of Anaheim indicate that if all goes well in workouts Friday, Angels outfielder Darin Erstad will join the Stingers in Tucson to begin an eight- or nine-game rehab assignment.
