Pet Star (6 and 8 p.m., Animal Planet): Fifteen finalists (two birds and 13 dogs) compete in the finale of this pet talent show.
The Hallmark Channel kicks off what it's calling "Happy Fridays," which will feature old Disney (non-animated) movies. First up it's The World's Greatest Athlete (5 p.m.) and The Computer Wore Tennis Shoes (7 p.m.)
JAG (7 p.m., Ch. 2): CBS is airing repeats of this show on Fridays this summer, because it's moving here in the fall.
Saudi Arabia (7 p.m., A&E): Bill Kurtis anchors this special about the history of U.S.-Saudi relations.
Not that I have anything against newsmagazines, but using them to tell tawdry tales of murder has gotten to be a bit much. Both Dateline (7 p.m., Ch. 5) and 48 Hours Investigates (9 p.m., Ch. 2) do just that tonight.
NOW with Bill Moyers (8 p.m., Ch. 7): A report on ex-government officials turned lobbyists.
20/20 (9 p.m., Ch. 4): Ex-NBC newsmagazine star Jane Pauley is interviewed on the ABC newsmagazine.
