An open house Saturday will allow the public to say goodbye to the old Murray High School structure and view the new building that will replace it.
Both schools will be open from 3 to 6 p.m., and the new school's commons area will feature displays of uniforms, yearbooks and other memorabilia throughout the day. The new auditorium will have a short program at 6 p.m. that will portray Murray High traditions through the years. From 7 to 9 p.m., there will be a social in the new school's commons area.
The move to the new high school has already begun but will begin in earnest following the open house, and the old school will be demolished this summer.
The new school will be ready when students start classes Aug. 25. Visitor parking and a new practice field are scheduled to be completed by November.
