"A Lovely Lady"

06/16/15 ~ 05/30/03

Our beloved mother, Nana, great-grandmother, aunt, friend and cherished wife completed her mission here on earth after a valiant struggle following open-heart surgery. She exemplified a tremendous legacy of faith, courage and love, leaving this world a better place. As she left this world she was surrounded by her husband, family and loved ones.

She was born on June 16, 1915 to William Alfred and Elizabeth Newton Sedgeley in Spanish Fork, UT. She attended both East and South High School. She married her sweetheart Robert Douglas Johnson on Aug 1, 1936 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. Their union was blessed with two beautiful daughters and a son, Robert William who died in infancy. Lillian and Bob had a tender and loving marriage for 67 wonderful years. She was devoted to her husband and family and loved spending time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren at family gatherings, visits to Tempe, AZ, and vacations to Laguna Beach. Regardless of whether her family was gathered in their cabin at Silver Fork, in a condo at Park City or St. George she made it a special experience filled with memories that will last a lifetime.

She was an active member of the LDS Church and served in the Relief Society, Primary and MIA organizations. She worked for a number of years at Auerbach's Department Store and served as a volunteer "Pink Lady" in the gift shop at the LDS Hospital for 17 years. She and her family lived in the Highland Park area of Salt Lake City, and then moved to Holladay in 1964 where they lived for 37 years. She and her husband recently moved to Bountiful, UT to be closer to their daughter and family.
