Helen Heath Young peacefully passed beyond this life on the 28th of May 2003.
She was born September 8, 1920 to Reuel George Heath and Essie Christina Trout. She graduated from West High School and the University of Utah.
At age 82, Helen was fully engaged in her passions- reading about the planets, working in her garden, and listening to lectures on tapes. Her politics, radical, her intellectual curiosity, limitless, her humor, poignant. Her candle not only burned brightly, it sparked. Thank you Helen for walking the not so traveled path, and sharing it with us.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband. Shirley H. Young, and her son, David C. Young. She is survived by her sister, Mary Frances Bennion, Laguna Woods, California; her granddaughter, Stephanie Helen Ash, Tridell, Utah; her niece, Kim Atwater, Salt Lake City, Utah; her nephew, Stephen H. Bennion, Sarasota, Florida; and her great niece, Erin Atwater, Salt Lake City, Utah.
At her request, no formal services will be offered. Cremation and internment, Evans and Early Mortuary, Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park and Mortuary.
