An art show designed especially for collectors will take place Thursday, June 5, at Williams Fine Art, 60 E. South Temple.

Since its inception in 1988, Williams Fine Art has enjoyed collecting and selling the finest paintings by early Utah artists. The gallery has also established an excellent reputation for supporting and selling the artwork of many contemporary artists.

The evening will begin with remarks by Vern Swanson, director of the Springville Museum of Art, who will discuss specific items relating to acquiring collectible paintings.

There will be more than 100 paintings by early Utah artists and many from top contemporary artists on display: J.T. Harwood, John Hafen, Mahonri Young, Minerva Teichert, LeConte Stewart, Maynard Dixon, Alvin Gittins, Arnold Friberg, Randall Lake, Gary Ernest Smith and many more.

The event will begin promptly at 6:30 p.m. with Swanson's remarks, followed by the viewing of the art. Afterward there will be a light buffet.

Seating will be limited, so make reservations by calling 534-0331.

The Art Collectors Show and Sale will run through the July 4 weekend.
