CARSON CITY, Nev. — The Nevada Wonders turned the tables on the BYU men's soccer team Friday night, defeating the Cougars by the same score they were defeated by — 3-0 — in BYU's home opener three weeks ago.

"We came out flat, very flat," BYU soccer coach Chris Watkins said. "They made the most of their chances.

Nevada came out and pushed around the Cougars (1-6).

"They fouled us 13 times and we fouled them four times," Watkins said. "I think that is an all-time low for fouls for a team playing 90 minutes. Some of the loss may have had to do with our injuries but they were the aggressors tonight." BYU had its chances. They out shot the Wonders 10-9 and had two more corner shots, 5-3.

They did have a few shining moments during an otherwise difficult night.

"Jeff Jensen played extremely well for us in back, stepping up his game for us," Watkins said. "Also, Paul Bryan came off the bench and did a nice job."

BYU's toughest opponent of the year and the league leading Fresno Fuego invade BYU's South Stadium on Friday for a 7 p.m. match up. The game will also be broadcast on KBYU. Saturday's exhibition contest against the Fuego has been cancelled.

"They'll be the best team we play against all year," Watkins said. "If you want to see a good game, this is one to come out and see."
