Utah interchange businesses contribute more than $1.9 billion to the state's economy, according to a study by the University of Maryland.

Interchange businesses include truck stops, restaurants, gas stations and hotels. According to the study, interchange businesses pay about $375.7 million in taxes and employ more than 20,000 people statewide.
