Leslie A. Kirkland, 53, passed away Sunday, June 8, 2003, from a brain tumor.

She was born July 17, 1949 in Ogden, Utah to Samuel F. and Dorothy S. Anderson. She attended Bonneville High School and Weber State College.

She and her family enjoyed living in Chateroux, France from 1962 to 1964.

Leslie married Jim Kirkland in Carson City, NV; October 5, 1980.

Surviving are her husband Jim, and her precious daughter Nicole, both of Syracuse. Also surviving are her brother, Bruce Anderson, Ogden; her sister, Marcia (Glenn) Lusk, and niece Ashley, South Ogden; two aunts, June Squires, North Ogden;

Joyce Stevens, Grand Junction, CO; and step-children, Stephen, Michael, David, James Jr., Kimberly and Suzanne.

Leslie was preceded in death by her parents, Samuel and Dorothy Anderson, and grandparents, Albert and Erma Squires, and Hagbert and Ruby Anderson.

Graveside services will be held Thursday, June 12, 2003 at 11 a.m. at Ogden City Cemetery, 1875 Monroe Blvd. Funeral directors, Lindquist's Layton Mortuary, 1867 No. Fairfield Road.

The family wishes to express their heartfelt appreciation to their very special cousin, Sharon Dominguez, Clinton; for her loving care of Leslie these last several months.

We also wish to thank the Hospice of Utah crew: Laurie, Fred, Cheryl, and especially Maggie who went out of her way to make sure Leslie and the family had everything they needed.

Leslie was a fine lady who loved everyone she met and worked with making friends easily and was loved in return.

She had a bad time the last couple of years and did everything she could to beat her illness.

She was devoted to her whole family and would do anything she could to help them.

I love you Les and so long.
