Maria Josefina Torres passed away on Friday June 6, 2003 after lengthy health problems.
Born February 1, 1924 in Buenos Aires, Argentina. She came to the United States in 1956. She married Rolando Torres, January 15, 1957 in the Arizona Mesa Temple.
Josefina loved being an RN and was a Nurse Anesthetist in Argentina. She worked at Primary Children's, LDS, Shiners and U of U Hospitals and many other care facilities.
Josefina was an avid traveler. She was active in the LDS Church and had a strong belief in God. Her generosity blessed many. We miss her, but we find comfort that she has joined Roland, who preceded her in death.
Josefina is survived by her son Walter (JoAnn), brother Ricardo in Argentina, and four grandchildren.
Funeral Services will be held Thursday, June 12, 2003 at the Ensign Third Ward, 9th Ave and K Street at 10:30 a.m. Friends may call Wednesday evening from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at Russon Brothers Salt Lake Mortuary, 255 South 200 East, and at the ward prior to services from 9:15 to 10:15.
