- Olive Elaine Marble Sorenson, born December 2, 1915 in Elsinore, Utah to Russel Benjamin Marble and Bethina Lay, passed away in her sleep June 8, 2003.
Olive married Ivan M Sorenson on June 18, 1934.
They lived in Central Valley, Los Angeles and Koosharem before moving to Ogden when Ivan was seriously injured in 1954. She then graduated from Stevens Henager College and worked for Wasatch Oil Company before becoming the first City Recorder of Washington Terrace. Ivan died July 18, 1993.
Olive is survived by daughters Karen (Darrel) Floyd of Plain City and Colleen (David)
Biddulph of Winston-Salem, NC;
sisters Opal Larsen of Roy and Emily Spencer of Clearfield and brothers Golden (Joyce) Marble and Stephen (Joanne) Marble of Hooper. She has eight grandchildren. There are also 25 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, daughter, a grandson
and two great granddaughters.
Services will be at the Plain City 7th Ward, 2952 North 4200 West, Saturday June 14 at 11a.m.
Burial will be in the Koosharem City Cemetery at 6:00 p.m. Saturday. The family will greet visitors one hour before services in the respective churches and Friday 6-8 p.m. at Myers Mortuary in Ogden.
